How to send in a service request?

You may send in a service request via the app on your mobile device, or via the Abilect website on your computer.
App
The home screen of the app will provide fields that you are required to fill with the indicated information in order to successfully send in a service request. You will receive a confirmation email indicating that your service request has been received. You will receive a notification when your request has been confirmed by a registered service professional, along with an indicative quote.
Website

Changing the location of your service request or order

You can change the location of your service request or order anytime by opening your Abilect account on your mobile device or computer and selecting the “Modify” option for your ongoing transactions. Please note that any location changes must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the requested time for the service out of respect for the service professional involved.

Contacting a service provider

When a service provider has confirmed your service request, you will be provided with his or her contact details that include phone number and email. You may use either of the two provided medium of communication in order to get in touch with your service provider. Please note however you are obliged to record any changes to your transaction details on your Abilect account.

Cancelling a service request or order

You may cancel a service request or order anytime between the time you sent in the service request to 24 hours prior to the time for which you have requested a service professional. Any cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment time of your service order will be subjected to a cancellation fee that may amount to the full charge of the service.

If you are unable to send in a service request, it may be due to one of the following reasons:

Getting a service order receipt

When your service professional has confirmed the completion of your service order, we will automatically send a receipt to the email address on your Abilect account. If you are not receiving receipts, please see I’m not receiving emails or receipts for more information. You can also refer toUpdate Account Settings to review and/or update your email address.
You may review all transactions exacted through your Abilect account by accessing your account at any time on your mobile device or computer and selecting Review Account Activity.

Rating and Reviewing Service Providers

• You will be given the option to review and rate your Service Provider following the completion of a service order. You can do so via the Abilect app on your mobile device or through the Abilect website on your computer. Ratings and reviews are very important to us. Service providers with consistently bad reviews or ratings may lose access to the Abilect platform.
• Ratings are in the form of stars. You can rate your service provider depending on their quality of service from a scale of 1 to 5 stars. You may provide Reviews in the form of written comments.
• Once a service provider has confirmed your service request, you will receive a confirmation message with the profile of your service provider that also includes average rating and reviews written by other customers on Abilect.

Your Account

Update account settings

To update your name, profile picture, phone number, address and email:

1. Select “Settings” in the app menu or login to your Abilect profile on your computer and navigate to “Account Settings”.
2. Select the information you would like to change.
3. Make the desired updates and click save.
4. If you change your email or phone number, you will receive a verification code via text message or a verification link via email. Please enter the verification code into your

phone or please go to the verification link provided to confirm the change.

If you are unable to update any of the above indicated information fields, please following the below steps:
1. Ensure that the new information entered is accurate and satisfies the parameters of our requirements.
2. If you are still unable to update your profile information and account settings, please contact support@abilect.com.

Password Management

1. Updating Password
If you would like to change your password, please follow the below steps:
1) Select “Settings” in the app menu or login to your Abilect profile on your computer and navigate to “Account Settings”.
2) Select “Change Password”.
3) You will be prompted to enter your current password, after which you can enter a new password. Passwords must be 8 characters long, with 1 uppercase letter and a number.
4) Save changes.
2. Forgotten Password / Lost Password
If you forget your password, click on the “Forgot Password” link when logging in. You will need to enter the email address associated with your account in order to receive an email with a password recent link. The link provided can only be used and is valid for a period of 24 hours, following which you would need to restart the process and request a new reset link.
3. Password reset link is not working
Please note that the link provided to you in the event of a lost or forgotten password can only be used once and is valid for 24 hours.
In the event that your password reset link doesn’t work within the conditions indicated above, please restart the process. Verify that you have correctly entered your email address and open the link the next password reset email you receive.

Email Already in Use

If you are unable to sign up for a new account because your email is already registered, please send an email to support@abilect.com.

Delete account

To delete your account:

1) Go to the “Settings” section of your Abilect app or log in to your Abilect account on your computer and navigate to “Account Settings” of your Abilect profile.
2) Select “Delete Account” and follow the steps on the screen.

If you complete the required steps to delete your Abilect account, it will be immediately deactivated. After a 30-day deactivation period, your account will be permanently deleted. The deletion of your account means that any and all information associated with your account will be permanently deleted from the Abilect platform.
Should you choose to restart your account, you may do so by signing into your account at any time during the 30-day deactivation period. This will reactivate your account, restoring all information and settings preferences. Should you choose to restart your account following this 30-day period, you will be required to create an entirely new profile. For more information please see How do I create an account?
If you cannot delete your account following the steps indicated above, please email support@abilect.com.

Cannot sign in

If you cannot sign in to your account because you have forgotten your password, please follow the link below for information regarding resetting your password:

If you are unable to sign in to your account for any other reason, please notify us at support@abilect.com
I’m not receiving receipts or emails
If you are not receiving receipts or emails from Abilect, please check your email account’s spam or junk folder. If you find Abilect emails there, please mark them “not junk” in order to ensure that future emails will be sent directly to your inbox.
You can also update the email address associated with your Abilect account anytime. For more information please see: Update Account Settings

Email and push notifications management

1. Abilect Emails
If you no longer wish to receive emails from Abilect, please click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the emails you receive from us. You may also use the unsubscribe link below:
Unsubscribe
You cannot unsubscribe from transactional emails that include but are not limited to service request confirmations, work order receipts, and support responses.
2. Push Notifications
If you no longer wish to receive notifications from Abilect on your mobile device, please do the following:
1) Open “Settings” on your device.
2) Locate the notifications centre in your settings.
3) Scroll to the Abilect app and tap to open notification settings.
4) Choose to modify how you receive notifications from the Abilect app or to remove all alerts.
Note that if push notifications are disabled for the Abilect app on your mobile device, you may still receive emails from us notifying you of your account, transaction and payment activity.
Further note that unsubscribing from Abilect emails or disabling push notifications may prevent you from receiving important information pertinent to your account.

Someone is using my account without my permission

If you suspect that someone else has used or is using your Abilect account, or there has been suspicious account activity, your account may be compromised.

Suspicious activities may include:

• Service requests or service orders on your account that you haven’t made
• Communication from registered service professionals about service requests or orders that were not made
• Receipts for service orders that you do not recognise
• Account changes that you did not make
• Password or email that is associated with your account was changed without your knowledge

If you are still able to sign into your account, log in and proceed to change your password. For more information on how to change your password, please see Password Management .
If you are unable to sign in, please send an email to support@abilect.com indicating your first name, last name, and the email address and phone number associated with your account. Please provide as a subject line for the email: Compromised Abilect Client Account.

I want to be an active service provider in a new city

You are permitted to become a service provider in any location in which Abilect is currently operational, provided you have the requisite documentation that include but is not limited to any licenses, permits, etc.
